About Us

El Silencio Lodge & Spa features highland mountain weather with temperatures ranging from 50º-75ºF. Mild during the day, cooler at night. In a nutshell, expect sun, rain, clouds, and mist.

El Silencio Lodge & Spa strongly recommends arriving by 6:00 pm at the latest. For alternatives, please contact us.

Bring a sweater and closed/hiking shoes. Long pants and a windbreaker are recommended, along with athletic wear. Cozy casual is the dress code! Talk to our reservations department for the latest weather updates.

A minimum 2-night stay may be required during certain seasons. We strongly recommend at least 2 or 3 nights to fully relax and best enjoy our ample selection of cultural experiences and eco-adventures. Our corner of Costa Rica is quite intense!

Children are wholeheartedly welcome! Our Villas are perfect for families and our Suites allow up to 3 adults per room or 2 adults and 2 children (under 12 Y/O).

Maximum number of children per suite: 2.
Must be accompanied by parent/guardian.

Suites do not feature a TV set. The view is so spectacular, you certainly won’t miss one! Villas do feature satellite TV. The Toro Bohemio Bar in the main lodge features one large LCD screen.

All guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi in the Conference Room, Restaurant, Bar and Spa. Private Villas and the Riverside Suites offer onsite Wi-Fi. Please note that the region's topography may slow down the connection.

In accordance with Costa Rican law and its wellness theme, El Silencio Lodge & Spa is a non-smoking facility. We thank you for your kind understanding.

El Silencio's restaurants offer delectable farm-to-table dishes highlighting local and organic flavors. In addition to the regular menu, we offer gluten-free and vegetarian options. We will do our best to accommodate other special dietary requirements with prior notice.

Non-guests can enjoy lunch with us but reservations are mandatory and subject to availability. To schedule, please contact the hotel directly at +506 4070-1100.

Day visitors may also have access to our private hiking trails, Adventure Park, and Spa Services. Please note that, although we try to comply with requests to the fullest extent possible, we are generally unable to accommodate dinner reservations for non-guests.
